Kaizen Softworks is a nearshore custom software development company founded in 2014 in Montevideo, Uruguay. The team is composed of 80+ business strategists, UX/UI designers, and engineers who operate as a partnership-driven company, not a typical outsourcing vendor.

The name reflects the company's core philosophy: Kaizen is a Japanese term for continuous improvement. While many companies apply it to their processes, Kaizen Softworks applies it to their people and partnerships, intentionally investing in team growth to bring compounding value to clients over time.

## Company History

**2014 — Founded:** Co-founders reimagined the outsourcing model, creating a partnership-driven company to address communication and alignment problems common in traditional outsourcing.

**2016 — First Office in Uruguay:** The team grew to ten people and opened the first office in Montevideo, South America, kicking off projects with partners in Boston.

**2017 — US Expansion:** Opened offices in Boston and Salt Lake City to better serve US partners.

**2020–2021 — Largest ICT Exporter:** Recognized by Uruguay's government (BROU) as the country's largest exporter of ICT services, an award earned two consecutive years.

**2023 — KZ Mansion:** Moved to a new headquarters on the Rambla of Montevideo, known internally as the "KZ Mansion."

**2024 — 10-Year Anniversary:** Refreshed the brand with an origami-inspired logo, reflecting the personalized, fold-by-fold approach to each partnership.
